(Dan Tri) – People in the Gaza Strip are facing a crisis as Israel increases its attacks on Hamas targets in this area.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on October 12 warned that hospitals in Gaza `are at risk of turning into morgues` due to power outages during Israel’s bombardment of the area.
A humanitarian crisis is rapidly growing in Gaza, where aid organizations and health officials say hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced by food, water and electricity shortages, adding to tensions.
`When Gaza lost power, hospitals lost power, putting babies in incubators and elderly patients on oxygen at risk,` ICRC Regional Director for the Near and Middle East, Fabrizio Carboni, said.
The head of Gaza’s electricity authority told CNN on October 11 that Gaza’s only power plant stopped operating after running out of fuel.
According to Palestinian health officials, nearly 1,200 people have been killed and 5,600 injured in air strikes in Gaza since October 7.
Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz confirmed on October 11 that the country is blocking the supply of water, electricity and fuel to the Gaza Strip, which is densely populated.

Previously, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that he would stop providing electricity, food, water and fuel to Gaza after Hamas’s large-scale attack on Israel.
At around 4:30 this morning, the Israeli military said it was conducting a `large-scale attack` on Hamas targets in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli air strikes on Gaza killed at least 51 people and injured 281 others early this morning.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Yousef Abu Al-Rish, some victims are still lying under the rubble.
Palestinian officials warned of an `imminent humanitarian disaster`, after Israel began blockading densely populated areas, cutting off electricity, fuel and water supplies.

Reuters quoted witnesses today as saying Israeli planes heavily bombed Gaza, while local authorities also reported an airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
