Ali Barakeh, a Hamas official, told The Associated Press that Hamas has so far only used a small portion of its forces in its offensive against Israel.

Also according to the above character, Hamas was surprised with the development of the attack on Israel, because they had predicted that Tel Aviv would be able to stop the raid campaign more quickly.

This official said, Hamas initially planned to achieve certain benefits and capture prisoners to exchange with Israel, but developments were beyond this force’s expectations.

Hamas said that the Israeli military’s reaction was surprising because Hamas had believed that Tel Aviv would effectively block the attack compared to the current tug-of-war between the parties.

On October 7, Hamas launched an attack campaign at sea, in the air and on the ground.

Israel is considered to have an extensive intelligence network throughout the Middle East and is famous for being elite.

Sources from the Israeli government said they are opening a large-scale investigation related to intelligence work and that mistakes occurred that prevented them from predicting the attack.

Immediately after Hamas launched the attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a `state of war`, and massive air strikes on Gaza in response.

After 3 days of fighting, both sides suffered heavy losses.

Meanwhile, health authorities in the Gaza Strip said that the death toll in this area had increased to 830 and 4,250 people were injured.

Hamas, the party that controls the Gaza Strip, also confirmed that Israeli airstrikes killed two members of the force’s political office.

Previously, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the head of the Hamas economic agency Joad Abu Shmalah and the head of the internal relations office in the Gaza Strip Zachariah Abu Maamar were killed by Tel Aviv airstrikes.

On October 9, Israel announced a `complete blockade` of Gaza, by cutting off electricity, food, water and fuel to this narrow strip of land.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is working to create a humanitarian corridor into the Gaza Strip to provide medical resources to the region’s already depleted hospitals to provide relief to thousands of civilians.

Meanwhile, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Tuerk called on Hamas to release hostages captured in the conflict with Israel.

He emphasized that international humanitarian law and international human rights law must be respected in all cases.
