(Dan Tri) – Hamas announced that it launched hundreds of rockets into Israeli cities, while Israel confirmed that it attacked more than 100 targets in Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Israeli warplanes attacked more than 100 `targets` in the Al-Furqan area in Gaza on October 10.
The Israel Defense Forces also confirmed the attack on the Rafah area, which included an underground tunnel used to `transfer weapons and equipment`.
`The (Al-Furqan) area serves as the center of the Hamas organization, from which operations against Israel have been launched,` the IDF said.
According to the IDF, this force will `continue operations targeting Hamas infrastructure, which is used to carry out attacks on Israel.`
The Israel Defense Forces announced that the country’s army is carrying out air strikes on Gaza port.
`The IDF is attacking targets belonging to the Hamas organization on the Gaza coast. Details will be provided later,` the IDF said.

In a statement on Telegram on October 10, Hamas forces said they launched hundreds of rockets into the Israeli city of Ashkelon in `response to the displacement of civilians in Gaza`.
The attack occurred after a Hamas spokesman issued a warning to residents of the southern Israeli city, asking them to leave the city before 5:00 p.m. local time.
Video shared by Hamas shows rockets flying in the sky, causing people to take shelter on the side of the road in Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces said sirens sounded in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip.
According to Al Manar, a Lebanese media outlet owned by Hezbollah, rockets were launched from southern Lebanon toward Israel on October 10.
The Israel Defense Forces responded with artillery fire after `launches` were `identified from Lebanese territory towards Israel`.
According to the Israeli military, Israeli tanks shelled two Hezbollah observation posts on the Lebanese border after 15 rockets were fired into Israel from neighboring territory.
The Israeli Air Force announced that 4 out of 15 rockets were intercepted, while the remaining 11 fell in uninhabited areas.
`The Air Force is conducting an unprecedented major air campaign against Hamas to erode and destroy this force’s ability to pose threats to the Israeli people,` the IDF said on Twitter.
Early on the morning of October 7, Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip fired thousands of rockets toward Israel in the largest scale attack in at least 75 years.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on October 10 that the death toll in Gaza had increased to at least 830 people and another 4,250 people were injured.
According to data released by Israeli forces, more than 1,000 Israelis have been killed since Hamas launched a comprehensive attack on October 7.
