Al Hadath TV channel quoted information from the Gaza electricity authority on October 11 saying that the only power plant in the Gaza Strip may stop operating in 10-12 hours due to running out of fuel reserves.

According to this agency, they only have about 300,000 liters of fuel in reserve, enough for the plant to operate for about 10-12 hours.

Electricity and fuel supplies in the Gaza Strip have been interrupted since October 8 after an unprecedented and serious conflict broke out between Israel and Hamas.

`I have ordered a complete siege of the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed,` Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on October 9.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees said they had less than 2 weeks of food and clean water reserves left to provide to more than 200,000 refugees at schools in

`We only have 12 days of food and water reserves left. The roads are blocked, we have no communication lines. Everything was destroyed after the air strikes. We don’t know what’s going on.`

She added: `We are relying on staff who are also refugees. This is a situation we have never faced before.`

The Israel-Hamas conflict erupted again on October 7 after more than 2 years of quiet.

Israel immediately declared a state of war, declaring war on Hamas.

Israel has mobilized hundreds of thousands of troops to the Gaza border, deploying dozens of fighter jets to carry out an unprecedented large-scale air campaign on a territory of about 362 square kilometers with 2 million people.

Fierce fighting in recent days has killed more than 1,200 people in Israel and more than 900 people in Gaza.

According to the United Nations, more than 200,000 people in Gaza lost their homes and had to evacuate to temporary refugee camps or schools.

The conflict shows no signs of abating, and even shows signs of spreading to Lebanon when there are shelling exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah forces.

The international community simultaneously called on relevant parties to exercise restraint and cease fire to avoid damage to civilians.
