(Dan Tri) – Israel announced an unprecedented scale raid on the Gaza Strip, while Hamas raised conditions for the release of hostages.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on October 26 that Israel would make `maximum efforts` to rescue 200 hostages held by Hamas forces.
`The Israeli campaign against Hamas in Gaza is being waged by air, land and sea targeting bunkers, tunnels and outposts,` Gallant said.
Minister Gallant said the Israeli army is attacking Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip on an unprecedented scale.

According to the Israeli Defense Minister, `what will happen in the next 75 years depends largely on the results` of the all-out offensive campaign on the Gaza Strip.
Mr Gallant said the Gaza invasion was `near` and `will begin when conditions are ripe`.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) today announced on October 27 that the Israeli army conducted `targeted attacks` in the Gaza Strip for the second consecutive night.
Video released by the IDF shows tanks and armored vehicles moving on a road near agricultural areas and attacking buildings and open areas in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF said the raid, which included aircraft and artillery strikes in the Shaja’iyah neighborhood, targeted Hamas infrastructure including `anti-tank missile launch sites,
The raid took place a day after the IDF announced a tank raid in northern Gaza.
Hamas stated conditions for releasing hostages
Russia’s Kommersant newspaper on October 27 quoted Abu Hamid, a member of the Hamas delegation to Moscow, as saying that this force can only release hostages when there is a ceasefire.
Mr. Hamid said that Hamas needs time to determine the location of all hostages held by armed groups in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
`They have arrested dozens of people, most of them civilians, and we need time to find them in the Gaza Strip and release them,` the Hamas member added.
According to Mr. Hamid, a peaceful environment is needed to complete the mission of finding hostages.
Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said 229 people were being held hostage in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier this week, Hamas released two Israeli women, after releasing two US-Israeli nationals last week.
