(Dan Tri) – Israeli officials warn of a `destructive` scenario for Lebanon if Hezbollah forces join the war amid escalating regional conflicts.

Head of the Israeli National Security Council Tzachi Hanegbi announced on October 14 that the participation of Hezbollah forces in the Israel-Hamas war will `lead to destruction for Lebanon`.
`Our goal is not to be drawn into a two-front war,` Mr. Hanegbi said, adding that Israeli officials had `conveyed a message` to Hezbollah fighters, urging them to stay away.
The Israeli army and Hezbollah have fired artillery and rockets along the Israel-Lebanon border in recent days.
According to CNN, explosions near the Israel-Lebanon border lasted more than two hours on October 14.
According to a statement by Hezbollah, Hezbollah forces launched a series of rockets at Israeli positions in the disputed Shebaa farms.
On October 13, Hezbollah forces announced attacks on four locations in northern Israel.
On October 9, Hezbollah said Israeli attacks killed three members of this organization.

The US has expressed concern about a second front on the Israel-Lebanon border, if Hezbollah forces join the war.
Israel considers Hezbollah its most serious direct threat.
Hezbollah, a suspected Iranian-backed force, also has thousands of battle-hardened fighters who participated in the 12-year conflict in Syria, and possesses many different types of military drones.
In addition to Lebanon, the Israeli military continued to raid targets in the Gaza Strip, in response to an attack by Hamas forces last weekend.
