(Dan Tri) – Iran’s Foreign Minister warned that the conflict between Israel and Hamas could expand to other areas in the Middle East if Hezbollah forces join the war.

`I know about the scenarios that Hezbollah has proposed. Any step that Hezbollah forces take will cause a major earthquake,` Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian warned on October 14.
Mr. Amirabdollahian told reporters in Beirut that the Lebanese Hezbollah group has considered all war scenarios and that Israel should stop attacks on Gaza as soon as possible.
Iran’s foreign minister said he would contact United Nations officials in the Middle East because `there is still a chance to take an initiative to end the war, but it may be too late tomorrow.`
Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian said that he met with Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and was informed about the situation of this force in Lebanon.
Previously, Mr. Amirabdollahian warned that a `new front` targeting Israel in the conflict with Hamas could open, depending on Israel’s actions.
Israel considers Hezbollah its most serious direct threat.
Hezbollah, a force suspected of being backed by Iran, also has thousands of battle-hardened fighters who participated in the 12-year conflict in Syria, and possesses many different types of military drones.
Israel has clashed with Hezbollah and allied Palestinian groups in Lebanon in recent days, although the scale of the attacks has been limited.

The Israeli raid took place after Hezbollah forces in Lebanon announced they were `fully prepared` to join Hamas in the fight against Israel at the appropriate time.

Israel also said it attacked Hezbollah observation posts on October 10, while the armed branch of Hamas claimed to have fired rockets.
On October 11, Hezbollah confirmed that it had targeted an Israeli position near the village of Dhayra.
