President Zelensky meets with the military cabinet about the situation in the war zone

Kyiv Independent reported that in the latest attack, Russia lost at least one brigade of troops while trying to take control of the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 27.

Russia attempts to regain lost territory in Andriivka, Verbove

Kyiv Independent reported that Russian forces tried to regain lost positions near Andriivka in the direction of Bakhmut and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhia, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a report on the evening of the 27th.

Germany provides the IRIS-T air defense system and other aid to Ukraine

Kyiv Independent reported,  The German government said on October 27 that Germany handed over the IRIS-T SLM air defense system, IRIS-T SLS missiles, 5,000 155mm artillery shells and other defense support within the framework of the trip.

In addition, the shipment also includes 4 armored vehicles, 8 VECTOR reconnaissance UAVs, TRML-4D air defense radar, 4 ground radars, 5 unmanned surface ships and 6 border guard vehicles.

Previously, Germany transferred two IRIS-T SLS systems to Ukraine in August, in addition to two SLM versions delivered in April and October 2022.
